Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is the governing and policy-making body that provides spiritual leadership and direction for Lighthouse Christian Academy. Board members work closely with the Headmaster and Faculty to prayerfully and purposefully advance the school’s mission.

The Board of Directors meets the first Wednesday of every month at 7:00 PM at Safe Harbor Presbyterian Church. Meetings are open to students, parents, and faculty. Minutes from the monthly meetings are available to current families.

  • Mr. Craig Winchester, Co-Chairman

    Craig Winchester joined the Board of Directors in the fall of 2016 to serve LCA for a second time after servicing for a couple of years about 4 years ago. He is married to Adriana and they have a daughter in First Grade and a son in Sixth Grade.

  • Mr. David (D.J.) Dauses, Co-Chairman

    D.J. is a follower of Jesus Christ, husband to Jodi, and the proud father of Lilli, Lacey, Tripp, and Annabelle.  The oldest three children attend LCA.  Professionally, D.J. is a top, local real estate agent.  He loves serving people as they make one of their largest financial decisions.  Prior to real estate, D.J. worked as a systems engineer for Lockheed Martin.  He is a graduate of Salisbury University, where he majored in computer science and minored in mathematics.

     

    His family attends St. Christopher’s Catholic Church as well as St. Andrew’s by the Bay.  D.J. enjoys diving deeper into his faith and loves reading theological books and articles.  Faith, family, and fishing are his passions! 

  • Mr. Laurence Cordrey, Treasurer

    Mr. Cordrey is a deacon at Safe Harbor Presbyterian Church in Stevensville. He and his wife, Eunice, have three adult sons and seven grandchildren.  After a career in accounting, consulting, and banking, Mr. Cordrey retired as Vice President and Controller of Access Group, Inc., a financial services company in Wilmington, DE. He is a graduate of the University of Delaware, the Wharton Graduate School, and held a CPA certificatefrom the State of Delaware.

  • Mr. Brad Dutton, Secretary

    Brad joined the LCA Board in March 2016. He is a member of Safe Harbor Presbyterian Church, where he has served as a ruling elder since 2013. Brad and his wife, Kelli, live in Grasonville and have three children: one current LCA student, Emmalyn (1st grade), and two future students: Jameson (Fall 2016) and Marshall (Fall 2021).


    Brad and Kelli met while attending Grove City College, from which Brad holds a degree in Finance and Mathematics. He currently works as a budget analyst at the Veterans Benefits Administration. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, he is an avid fan of Pittsburgh sports teams and also enjoys playing golf when time allows (which isn't often enough). He is thankful for the opportunity to serve LCA as a member of the Board.

  • Pastor Todd Williams

    Pastor Todd Williams is the Senior Pastor of Safe Harbor Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Stevensville, where he has served since 1997. After graduating from the University of Baltimore, Pastor Todd attended seminary at Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, Florida. During his three years in seminary, Pastor Todd served as an assistant to a church planter and as a youth director at Christ Presbyterian Church in Oviedo, Florida, and as an Associate Pastor at Providence Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh. He and his family moved to Maryland in 1997 when he was called to plant a church on Kent Island -- Safe Harbor Presbyterian Church. He is father to four children, all of whom attended Lighthouse Christian Academy.

  • Mr. Gary Dettman

    Mr. Dettman is the grandparent of two children at LCA and a long-time supporter of Lighthouse Christian Academy.

Board Nominations

We accept nominations to our Board of Directors throughout the year. Board members typically serve a 3-year term on the LCA Board, and there is  a monthly Board meeting throughout the school year that consists of both Open and Executive sessions.
