One of the key components of Classical education is that history is taught chronologically. In addition, the remaining subjects are taught as an interconnected whole, so that the history studied corresponds to the literature read, and field trips take students on adventures corresponding to the time period of study.
Integration between the subjects ties the world together for the learner. In addition, Scripture is interwoven throughout the subjects, and students gain a deeper understanding of truth. Ultimately, the goal of Classical Christian education is for the students to develop wisdom.
We do not use the Common Core curriculum that is popular in mainstream schools.
