Mrs. Morton has a Bachelor of Science in Middle and Secondary Education from the University of Alabama and did her graduate work at George Mason University. She has over twenty years of teaching experience, fifteen of which have been at Lighthouse. While Mrs. Morton has primarily taught History and Logic during her years at Lighthouse, she has also taught a number of other subjects including Science, Literature, and the Common Arts. She has also coached volleyball and basketball, directed numerous student productions, and served as the Lead Logic Teacher for three years and the Head of Upper School for two years. Mrs. Morton has three daughters who attended Lighthouse, the eldest of which is an alumni of Lighthouse’s first graduating class. In her free time, Mrs. Morton enjoys traveling, gardening, and quilting.
