Lindsay Getty
Chairwoman of the Board

Lindsay Getty brings a career in communications, enterprise strategy, and nonprofit service to the Board of Directors.

An Emmy-winning broadcast journalist and former soccer player at the University of Maryland, Lindsay has spent much of her career in communications and storytelling. Lindsay has held senior leadership roles in marketing and communications, including serving as Vice President of Marketing & Communications for Major League Soccer's D.C. United, where she oversaw branding, public relations, and digital strategy. She also has served for nearly 20 years as a founding board member of Georgia Blind Sports, an organization dedicated to expanding athletic opportunities for individuals who are blind or visually impaired. An entrepreneur at heart, she is the founder and executive director of the Champion Comeback Foundation, a 501c3 that provides mentorship, advocacy, and practical support to athletes and families navigating recovery from brain injury, and co-founder of Story Sprouts, a company that turns family stories into custom illustrated storybooks.

She is actively engaged in a variety of additional professional and community-interest projects, but primarily stays at home with her three young children.

Her commitment to Christian education began early. Lindsay was a founding student of a covenant Christian school in Atlanta, Georgia, where her mother served as an administrator during the school’s formative years. Growing up alongside the school gave Lindsay an early view of both the lasting value of Christ-centered education and the work required to build a healthy school community.

Lindsay and her husband, Nathan, and their children are members of Safe Harbor Church. She is grateful for the opportunity to serve Lighthouse Christian Academy and is eager to see what the Lord has in store for LCA and the community it serves.
