Judy Buck
Junior Kindergarten Co-Lead Teacher
Mrs. Buck earned her Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology from Towson University and her Master of Science in Speech Pathology from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill where she also earned a North Carolina Teacher’s Certificate. After graduation, she worked for Anne Arundel County Public Schools. She then went on to complete her Day Care I/II certification and became a Director and Teacher of a preschool for 8 years. Then she returned to Anne Arundel County Public Schools as a speech therapist working primarily with 3-5 year old children. She retired recently after 29 years of service. She volunteered at LCA during the 2025-26 school year and quickly became a beloved member of our school community. We are delighted to welcome Mrs. Buck as our Junior Kindergarten Co-Lead Teacher.
“I want our students to feel excited about coming to school, to feel loved and successful. I want to help them gain skills necessary for learning by becoming good listeners, good communicators, and problem solvers. I am excited to use the JK curriculum, The Gentle and Classical Preschool, which has a focus on play-based learning.”
Mrs. Buck lives on Kent Island with her husband and 23 year old son, who attended LCA for grades K-6. They attend Safe Harbor Presbyterian Church where she serves on the Nursery Team.
