Mrs. Hackman loves sharing her love for God and His creation. She has many years of teaching Bible and Science in small traditional and Classical Christian schools. She is an Army Veteran with a Bachelor’s Degree in Russian Area Studies with a concentration in Science from University of Maryland, University College (now Global Campus). Her love for the gospel and the suffering saints continues to bring her on many mission trips to Eastern Europe and Ukraine.
Grateful for all her life experiences, she recognizes His ever present hand and how He has molded her into what she hopes is a humble, Bible-loving, God-fearing sister and daughter-in-Christ. She views her personal failures as all loss as His gain, because she knows God’s redeeming love is unshakable. It is this love that she will bring to school every day.
God has instilled her a profound respect for the privilege of studying God’s creation. She loves singing in harmony with the students at morning worship, and praying with the saints to boldly approach God’s throne. She is grateful to her Savior for teaching her how to repent, and to let go to let God carry the burdens of this world, and then to wait expectantly for His perfect Will to be done.
She especially enjoys drama and loves helping her students to act out biblical stories and joyfully memorize and reverently recite Scripture to honor God. Her creative approach to learning stems from a desire to instill awe for God by catching glimpses of His world from macroscopic and microscopic perspective. The awe engages students’ imaginations as they begin to grasp, understand, and fall in love with the Creator of the multi-dimensional world we live in. On a fun note, God has given her a gift for languages and she dedicates time to daily maintain her Russian, Ukrainian, Latin, and Swedish, as well as dabble with multiple other languages.

She loves all of God’s image bearers and is keen to remind them that God meets them right where they are.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Matthew 11:28-30
