Kristy Petralia.
Third Grade.
Ms. Petralia will join LCA in the fall of 2026. She has a degree in English from the University of Maryland College Park, Maryland, and has completed some graduate work at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Since graduating University of Maryland in 2004, Ms. Petralia had worked in an after school care program as well as being a paraeducator in Montgomery county Public Schools. She started her teaching career at Berwyn Christian School in 2005 and taught second grade until 2014. Then she went to Montrose Christian School and taught first and second grade combined for the first year and middle and high school from 2014-2016.
While attending Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kentucky, Ms. Petralia continued to substitute teach and spent some time caring for foster children at a residential treatment center, then moved on to serve the homeless in Kentucky. Ms. Petralia has also continued to work in foster care case management in Pennsylvania and taught at Huntington Learning Center.
Ms. Petralia has been blessed in her Christian walk since 1997, and has served as an AWANA leader as well as worship team at church. She has also been on short-term mission trips to Mexico, Italy, The Netherlands, and Boston, Massachusetts. Ms. Petralia also enjoys kayaking and hiking in her free time.
Ms. Petralia loves to teach God’s word and is excited to teach Third Grade this upcoming school year!
