Tim Curtis
Upper School Science

Mr. Curtis has served the Lord in the ministry for 25 years and has been the pastor of Eastern Shore Baptist Church in Grasonville, MD for 2 ½ years. He also has an extensive background as an administrator and educator. He has a Masters of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from George Williams College in Downers Grove, Illinois, a Bachelors of Science degree in General Science from the University of Iowa, and a Masters of Religion degree from Midwestern Baptist College in Pontiac, Michigan.

Mr. Curtis worked for 13 years as the Executive Director of Health and Fitness at Prescription Fitness Inc. in Waterford, Michigan which was the largest health/fitness and rehabilitation facility in the Midwest. He has also given many sports medicine workshops across America. He has taught a variety of science classes at the middle school, high school, and college level. He taught every high school science class at Thomas Academy in North Carolina for 5 years and recently taught anatomy and physiology at the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrillton.

Mr. Curtis’ comprehensive knowledge in the field of science has earned him the nickname of ‘Captain Science’ by many of his students. As a Pastor, he is committed to biblical truth and sound doctrine in life and in education. His goal is to honor and glorify Jesus Christ in all that he does and to share the Gospel. He and Cindy, his wife of 33 years, live in Church Hill, MD.

His life verse is:

Hosea 10:12 “Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.”
