Brian Burkett

Brian S. Burkett is a partner at McKenna Russo Law, where he practices commercial, real estate, business, and civil litigation law. With a background in law, business, and leadership, Brian brings a practical perspective and a deep commitment to serving others to his work in both his profession and his community.

Brian earned his B.S. from Purdue University and his J.D. from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. Prior to practicing law, he held leadership roles in business, including positions in Chicago and Maryland, experiences that gave him a strong understanding of organizational leadership, strategic decision-making, and the realities of day-to-day operations.

Brian is active in his local church, Bay Area Community Church, where he recently served on the core team to launch the Kent Island Campus. Brian has a particular heart for the next generation and believes strongly in the importance of surrounding young students with people who will encourage, guide, and invest in them. He sees classical education as an important opportunity to shape not only students’ minds, but also their character and faith.

Brian and his wife Jenny live on Kent Island with their two sons, who both currently attend Lighthouse Christian Academy. Brian is honored to serve on the board of Lighthouse Christian Academy, and he looks forward to contributing his experience, faith, and time to support the school’s mission.
